About this experience

Höfði House is a historic building located in the heart of Reykjavik.

It is best known for hosting the 1986 summit between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev which marked the beginning of the end of the Cold War.

The house was built in 1909 and is a beautiful example of Icelandic architecture. It is a two-storey building with a large garden and a terrace overlooking the sea.

Inside, the house is decorated with original furniture from the early 20th century.

The house is open to the public and offers guided tours in English. Visitors can learn about the history of the house and the events that took place there.

The house is also available for rent for special events, such as weddings and conferences.

Höfði House is a must-see for anyone visiting Reykjavik
and a great way to learn more about the city's history.
