Holt - Memorial Museum of Alda Halldórsdóttir.

This was the home where Alda Halldórsdóttir was born in 1913 and lived and grew up with her mother and uncle. The house along with its interiors, shows in a unique way a typical working-class home of that era where the new and the old meet.

There you can also find a variety of handicrafts and embroidery by Alda, along with old photographs of her friends and relatives. Alda bequeathed "Holt" to the Hrisey community after her death, in order for it to be used as a memorial of times gone by.
