About this experience

Puhinniemi is a forested, natural cape on the shore of Lake Valajärvi in Hämeenlinna. The 30-hectare area has forest trails and two campfire sites.

As a specialty, Puhinniemi has two stone-age dwellings. Worked quartz stone cappiles and signs of fire-keeping were found in the area in 2006. In the 1960s, a prehistoric bowl from the Iron Age has also been found at Puhinniemi.
