About this experience

The Soukonvuori nature reserve is located about 5 kilometers northeast of the city centre of Tampere in the Kauppi-Niihama forest area.

The forest area of ​​Soukonvuori is part of a mature old forest with rotten wood and species dependent on rotten wood.

Access to the area: From Niihama outdoor hut, continue along Pikku-Niihamantie for about 700 meters to the border of the protected area. There is an information board on site and the boundaries of the area are marked on the terrain with identification plates attached to wooden piles.

The trails of Soukonvuori were improved in 2019 with new duckboards.
