Riihisaari – Savonlinna Museum
Savonlinna, FinlandRiihisaari is a unique museum island in the national landscape of Olavinlinna Castle. Riihisaari provides yearly various themed exhibitions by the Savonlinna Museum and Metsähallitus (Finnish Forest Administration) Saimaa Nature Centre.
We also run the Savonlinna Tourist Information, available the year round. The Savonlinna Museum concentrates on the history of South Savo and particularly on preserving, studying and presenting the history of sailing on Lake Saimaa. In the summer you can visit our magnificent museum ships and there is also a nice museum shop and free wi-fi for the customers at Riihisaari.
