About this experience

Part of Juutua river, the Jäniskoski rapids are a sight of raging waters amongst the rocky river bend heading towards Lake Inari. A cable bridge takes you across the river to the rest stop on the other side.

From the road, the distance to Jäniskoski rapids is less than 1 kilometre and is unobstructed. Nature trail of Juutua guides you through the forest and follows the river up stream to another kota hut called Laurin Laavu where you can go if you are interested in a bit shorter day trip.
