About this experience

The Bronze Age burial site of Sammallahdenmäki is the widest and most versatile Scandinavian burial site representing the Bronze Age culture on the coast of Gulf of Bothnia. The cairns of Sammallahdenmäki are a part of the bare, rocky landscape and they represent the monumental construction of the period at its best. The area features 36 burial cairns. The site was included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1999.
