Skálabotnur - Oyraskarð - Vesturdalur is a magnificent hiking trail in the Faroe Islands. The trail starts in Skálabotnur, a small village in the northern part of the island of Streymoy. From here, you will ascend to the top of Oyraskarð, a mountain with stunning views of the surrounding area. From the top, you will descend to Vesturdalur, a valley with lush vegetation and a small lake. The total distance of the trail is approximately 8 km and it should take around 3-4 hours to complete. The trail is suitable for all levels of hikers, although it is recommended to wear good hiking boots and bring plenty of water. Along the way, you will see some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Faroe Islands, so make sure to bring your camera!
