About this experience

Collection of rare fir and pine trees from all over the world. Established 1890-1920.

The area had over 100 species of fir and pine. It was originally aimed at nursery use, but also as an experimental area to find suitable trees for forestry.

The area belongs to the Herlufsholm Estate and borders Rådmandshaven, a beautiful nature area with a wealth of birdlife.

Today there are 60-65 different fir and pine trees left in Herlufsholm's Pinetum.
