Humleore

Humleore

Humleore was originally situated on a tongue of land in a lake. It was probably a castle of refuge with the tile buildings constructed in the Middle Ages. This mound was excavated by the Danish National Museum in 1899. For the time being the area around the remains of Humleore castle is closed to the public, due to a pair of white eagles nesting in the wood.
