This route goes through the 43 ha large Hvidbjerg Plantation with a rich birds life. In the western part there is a hunting lodge which is open to everyone.

The plantation has a forest lake that delivers drinking water for animals and birds. The lake Rettrupkær Sø is privately owned so there is no access to the lake, however, from the small bird watching place north of the lake and from Rettrup Kærvej there is a great view of the lake.
