About this experience

Kerteminde Museum is situated in Farvergården from 1630, one of the oldest buildings of the town.

In the ground floor of the museum you find recreations of the interiors of houses belonging to average and wealthy townspeople from the middle of the 19th century.

The farm worker's austere cottage interior with its kitchen and well worn utensils stand in sharp contrast to the elegant furniture in the middle class sitting room.

The other exhibitions show the "Childhood World", "the fishing trade", "crime and punishment", and in the top floor workshops from seven different crafts.

In the lovely garden of the museum that can be entered from Langegade or the town square through the entrance north of the church, there are tables and chairs, and everybody is welcome to settle down - for example with their picnic basket.
