Amsterdam, with its canals, distinctive architecture and liberal culture, is one of Europe's most fun and laid-back cities and the capital of the Netherlands and has something to suit every taste. The cobbled streets are made for wandering, or cycling, and enjoying the typical Dutch landscapes of boat-lined canals and architectural landmarks such as the Oude Kerk and Beurs van Berlage.

Of course the best way to see the city is from a boat and over three million people enjoyed a canal cruise in Amsterdam last year.
